Abstract
У статті розглянуто сутність громадянської культури особистості як необхідної передумови розвитку громадянського суспільства. Висвітлено ключові ознаки громадянської культури. Представлено результати опитування студентів інженерних спеціальностей щодо розуміння сутності громадянської культури. Обґрунтовано необхідність формувати громадянську культуру у майбутніх фахівців вищих технічних навчальних закладів. The article describes the essence of the concept of “civil culture” as a necessary condition for the civil society development. The modern scientific ideas treat the civil society as the totality of all citizens as well as of their free formations and associations connected with their social relations characterized by a high level of social consciousness and political culture, which are guaranteed and protected by the state, but are outside of it. The manifestation of the main signs of civil culture is a kind of an indicator of the civil society condition. Now, the increased attention to the civil culture is caused by the civil dialogue activation based on the principles of freedom and humanism. Our scientists regard the phenomenon of civil culture as a mixed culture type in which the different interests and aspirations of the members of society are rationally preconcerted, thus creating a basis for its development. The people's knowledge of their rights and duties, of the mechanism of the government, of the political systems, of the procedures of political and in particular of electoral process refer to the content of the civil culture. A survey of interviewed students of higher technical educational institutions affirms the urgent need for the formation of civil culture of future professionals. Because the moral perception of the mechanism of governmental power by the citizens and the development of the civil society in general depend on its level.
