Abstract
У статті проаналізовано срібний дирхам 358 р. гіджри (968–969 рр.), викарбуваний у Бухарі саманідським аміром Мансур I ібн Нух, що зберігається в нумізматичній колекції Ashmolean Museum, та здійснено порівняльне дослідження його іконографії з медальйонами тюркських каганів VII ст. На основі аналізу портретних рис і написів обґрунтовано гіпотезу про тюркське походження Саманідів і зв’язок їхньої династичної традиції з родом ябгу Тохаристану. The article analyzes a silver dirham from 358 AH Hijra (968–969), minted in Bukhara by the Samanid amir Mansur I ibn Nuh, which is kept in the numismatic collection of the Ashmolean Museum, and conducts a comparative study of its iconography with the medallions of the Turkic khagans of the 7th century. Based on an analysis of portrait features and inscriptions, a hypothesis is put forward about the Turkic origin of the Samanids and the connection of their dynastic tradition with the Yabgu clan of Tokharistan.
