У статті досліджено історіографію питання фінансової політики уряду Російської імперії, що складають різні за формою та жанром роботи багатьох дослідників. Аналіз історіографічних джерел свідчить, що, незважаючи на наукову та практичну актуальність дослідження історії фінансової політики уряду Російської імперії в Україні, ця наукова проблема усе ж є малорозробленою та потребує подальшого
спеціального вивчення. The article views the problems of the coverage of the imperial fiscal mechanism operation in Ukraine in the ХVIII - beginning XX centuries in the studies of contemporary scholars and practitioners who had left a number of works which are diverse in their range of problems and wide coverage of aspects, form and genre. The promising areas of further study of this problem are outlined: the detailed research on the history of financial policy of the government of Russian Empire in Ukraine, learning the historiography of problem and characteristic sources for it is study.
