A refined statement of the problem on planar oscillations of the plate bodies is given which considers the inertia of thickness movements. A problem on oscillations ot a rectangular parallelepiped is taken to show that a refined model provides an essentially higher accuracy in determination of the resonance frequencies for a range of frequencies and configurations typical of plane waveguides used in the low ultrasonic engineering as against the standard model of the plane stressed state.
