Continuous-action plants have several advantages over cycle-feed units (low energy costs, high productivity, lower material consumption, etc.), so improving continuous-action installations is an urgent task. The bulk material feeder, as an integral part of the continuous-action plants, requires appropriate research to substantiate and optimize the design parameters of the installation. The purpose of this work is to investigate the influence of the geometrical parameters of the stabilizing slope of the delivery devices of the continuous-action installations for loading free-flowing materials on the speed of movement of the bulk material and, thus, the technological process of the installation for loading bulk materials. The dependences of the velocity of the free-flowing material in the delivery device of the continuous devices on the geometric parameters of the supply device are determined, as well as the range of velocity variation of the bulk material movement in the feed device is determined. Research findings. The velocity of loose material increases with increasing radius r (fig. 3) and angle (fig. 2). The range of variation in speed (variability, boundary limits) of the velocity of free-flowing material in the supplying device is determined. At , the velocity of the free-flowing material varies between 2,11 ... 2,3 m / s. The obtained results allow to determine the values of the main geometric parameters of the supply device of the continuous devices to provide the required output indicators The results obtained allow us to determine the values of the basic geometric parameters of the stabilizing slope of the delivery devices of the continuous operation installations to provide the required output indicators.
