The historical experience of the valuation of estate property for the determination of the basis of the taxation of the real estate in Russian Empire, including the Ukrainian provinces too, is analysed in the article. The article analyses the historical experience of the taxation of the real asserts in Russian Empire, including Ukrainian provinces too. The attention is paid to the peculiarities in Soviet period. The problem questions of the present in the taxation of the real asserts are fixed.
