    Актуальність дослідження зумовлена кількома важливими факторами, які свідчать про необхідність розуміння та впровадження сучасних технологій у бібліотечну справу. Основні аспекти включають – розвиток цифрових технологій, зростання обсягу інформації, попит на електронний контент, ефективність управління ресурсами, конкуренція, підвищення якості навчання та досліджень, розвиток концепції відкритого доступу, актуалізацію правових аспектів, формування нового досвіду, соціальні та культурні зміни. Вказані фактори засвідчують спроможність бібліотечних установ адаптуватися до сучасного розвитку інформаційного середовища. The relevance of the study is due to several important factors that indicate the need to understand and implement modern technologies in library work. The main aspects include - the development of digital technologies, the growth of information, the demand for electronic content, the efficiency of resource management, competition, improving the quality of education and research, the development of the concept of open access, the updating of legal aspects, the formation of new experience, social and cultural changes. These factors indicate the ability of library institutions to adapt to the modern development of the information environment.

    Стрімкий розвиток комп’ютерної техніки та впровадження новітніх інформаційних технологій призводять до змін у процесах науково-інформаційної діяльності бібліотек ВНЗ, викликають потребу в переосмисленні основних напрямів бібліографічного обслуговування в умовах електронного середовища. Бібліографічне обслуговування, складовими якого є довідково-бібліографічне обслуговування (ДБО) і бібліографічне інформування, з використанням сучасних інформаційно-комунікаційних технологій набуває кардинальних змін. The rapid development of computer technology and the introduction of the latest information technologies lead to changes in the processes of scientific and informational activity of university libraries, causing the need to rethink the main directions of bibliographic service in the conditions of an electronic environment. Bibliographic service, the components of which are reference and bibliographic service (DBO) and bibliographic information, with the use of modern information and communication technologies, is undergoing radical changes.
