As we have shown, the place of their discovery (without the certainty that we know them all) covers practically the whole area of the Empire [Egypt (3), Galatia (1), Macedonia (1), Dalmatia (1), Pannonia (1), Noricum (4), Italy (6), Hispania (2), Germany (5) and Brittany (3)], so it cannot be a lapicide mistake or a marginal, local form. Chronologically, this variant is attested since the reign of Trajan and, as evidenced by the stamps discovered at Ostia, circulates in parallel with the official form 61. However, the surname Trajan does not seem to have been widely used in antiquity 62.uk_UA
