Монети, передані з Всеукраїнського Історичного Музею імені Тараса Шевченка до Державного Банку СРСР в 1933-1934 рр.

Abstract

Дослідження у фондах НМІУ інвентарної книги (сьогодні монети з дорадянської колекції інвентаризовано в нових книгах) розкриває цікаві факти з історії формування нумізматичного зібрання та особливостей фондового напрямку роботи Національного музею історії України, а особливо цінною ця книга є для дослідників утрачених музейних колекцій. Немала частка серед монет і медалей, які перебували у сховищі КОКД, тісно пов’язана із спільними сторінками історії України та Польщі. All the most valuable coins from the collection of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine from the years 1933 to 1934 were transferred to the Kiev Regional Office of the State Bank of the USSR for a temporary storage. Later, the numismatic valuables were returned to the museum, thus escaping the high risk of losing them to the Ukrainian history and culture by their destruction or transportation to the museums of Russia, following the common practices of the Soviet totalitarian regime. An investigation of the old inventory book of the museum (today the coins from the pre-Soviet collection are inventoried in the new books) unfolds the interesting facts from the history of the formation of the numismatic assemblage of this particular stock direction of the work. Entries in the surveyed inventory book contain the information on the most valuable examples of the museum collection, showing the stories of its origin, detailed description, estimated cost, as well as some other markings that reflect the processes of the work on the collections. This old inventory book is especially valuable for the researchers of the lost museum collections. A considerable share of the coins and medals that were temporarily transferred to the State Bank of the USSR, is closely linked to the common pages of the histories of Ukraine and Poland. The inventory book also contains some other interesting facts from the history of the formation of the numismatic collection and about the movement of cultural property in the intermuseum space.
