    Bankruptcy forecasting is one of the most studied subjects in accounting and finance. There are numerous articles, books, and research on finding the best method to predict possible future financial problems. This article examines Altman's (1968) multidimensional method, or Z-score, is one of the most ancient methods of predicting bankruptcy.     The problem of bankruptcy forecasting has a special place among the theoretical and practical problems of enterprise management. Ukraine is a transition country, characterized by instability of many factors of the external environment of entrepreneurship. Therefore, effective management of enterprises requires not only financial analysis of the current situation, but also diagnostics for possible bankruptcy in the future.
