Abstract
У статті розкривається сутнісне значення громадянської самосвідомості в контексті громадянського виховання особистості. This article discloses the essential value of civic conciosness in the context of civic education of personality. Generalization of scientific research allows consider civil self-consciousness of a personality as a complex process of awareness of his/her civil essence. The awareness of duties and rights, acquiring the system of civic values were defined as key components of civil self-consciousness. And on this basis the formation of personal system of value orientation and personal implication to social and political changes were defined. Due to this a personality stands him/herse lf as a patriot of the country and realises personal natural relation with the state, directing his/her activity to the development of the country.
